The Fact That Weezer and The Pixies Are Touring Together Will Delight Your Inner ALT Rock Fan

Alternative rock fans can rejoice and prepare to unite next summer when Weezer and the Pixies bring their co-headlining show to the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers on June 29, 2018.

The two bands announced the joint tour, which features opener The Wombats. The trek unites two of the biggest and most influential rock bands of the past 30 years for the first time on a full tour. Alternative rock kings The Pixies are touring in support of their 2016 release Head Carrier, and Weezer dropped its 11th studio album, Pacific Daydream, last week.

“We’re all big Weezer fans,” Pixies frontman Black Francis (Frank Black) said in a statement, “so we’re really looking forward to this summer. We have a lot of respect for Weezer; they’re not afraid to take risks with their music.”

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and music starts at 7:30 p.m.
